Innovations in Telecommunications Engineering Forms the Basis of our Multi-media Society!
GIVE YOUR STUDENTS A GREAT FOUNDATION IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING
WHILE THEY ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL with UNITRAIN & LABSOFT
The Multi-media Society
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic everyone recognizes that communications technology has become a necessary and vital part of our economic and societal infrastructure. Cell Phones, high-speed Internet, websites, video & teleconferences, data bases, networks, gaming, & connectivity are just some of the high-level forms that we see and use. Yet as we advance with greater needs and requirements in this important sector, we see fewer and fewer students pursuing degrees in this important field. Why?
Of all the engineering disciplines, telecommunications technology is likely considered the most complex. Indeed, even the mathematical operators that describe the field are given the name “Complex Numbers” (ℂ). What are Complex numbers and how are they used in telecommunications and electrical engineering? More importantly, how can we motivate students to begin understanding the underlying concepts in this important technical field?
UniTrain & LabSoft offer a great solution!
High-level theory, complex mathematics, lack of good teaching content, and cost for equipment are just some of the reasons that telecommunications topics are, generally, ignored at high school level. Our UniTrain hardware and LabSoft learning environment offer an ideal solution to encourage greater participation. These provide easier transition to more advanced topics taught in a post-secondary program.
The goal is to give students an introduction to advanced technical & engineering topics, within a context they understand, all done safely. Our UniTrain hardware is the perfect, and safe, way to introduce students to basic telecommunications modules, modulation & multiplexing, transmission & receiving technology, computer communications, telecom modeling, and much more.
Our LabSoft learning environment has all electronics instrumentation (no need for separate multimeters, power suppliers, function generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc…). Additionally, all courses come with learning content that includes topic background & theory, helpful animations, lab activities, assessment, & student progress monitoring tools for instructors.
