The automotive and large vehicle manufacturing/service sector is one of the most important parts of the economy of any advanced society. To increase comfort, safety, and reliability today’s vehicles are designed with sophisticated technology. New innovations in Hybrid & Electric Vehicles, along with Advanced Driver Assisted Systems (ADAS), means that engineers, technicians, and manufacturers of automotive systems must be at the fore front of new technology.

As an introduction to individual learning, we offer a variety of modern automotive technology systems. Individual topics of introductory and advanced training in automotive technology can be optimally and efficiently taught. At the focal point of our system is the link between experiment hardware and training software. This is our way to break down any hurdles which may be perceived to differentiate our training systems from real motor vehicles.

Our UniTrain hardware and LabSoft learning environment provide instructor and student with an ideal teaching and multimedia learning environment, particularly for teaching the basics. Single topics in automotive technology are mapped out and taught using numerous experiments and activities. The experiment hardware contains an extensive course in software. A key focus is to get students to a level that they can perform experiments at authentic voltages. A computer interface links the experiment hardware to a computer. Analog input and output signals are sent to the computer via a USB port.

Each of the courses covers one topic from the world of automotive technology. You can, for example, easily learn about the differences between series and parallel circuits as well as how they work. The experiments are carried out on pre-wired experiment cards, which are then connected directly to UniTrain. Depending on the topic, it is possible to link multiple cards, making it easy to convey the complexity of individual systems in an understandable way. The course on hybrid technology involves three separate experiment cards. The multimedia course supplied with the training system conveys the theoretical background, helps explains the experiments step by step, and allows the results to be logged. This saves time, money, and helps instructors to facilitate and monitor student progress.
